“Christmas market in the highest tones": Tower blowing from the collegiate church tower from Friday to Sunday

Every evening from Friday to Sunday during all Christmas market weekends, Stuttgart brass musicians will play from the tower of the Stiftskirche. Various trombone choirs from Stuttgart and the surrounding region will climb the 232 steps to the top of the approximately 60-meter-high tower and play atmospheric Advent and Christmas music from the tower of the Stiftskirche.

The tower blowing from the west tower of Stuttgart's central Stiftskirche is one of the city's oldest traditions. There has been regular tower blowing since 1618, currently on Tuesday and Thursday market days at 8.45 am.

Shortly before the start of the Christmas market, you will once again find an up-to-date list of the trombone choirs playing here.
