“Christmas market in the highest tones": Tower blowing from the collegiate church tower from Friday to Sunday

Every evening from Friday to Sunday during all Christmas market weekends, Stuttgart brass musicians will play from the tower of the Stiftskirche. Various trombone choirs from Stuttgart and the surrounding region will climb the 232 steps to the top of the approximately 60-meter-high tower and play atmospheric Advent and Christmas music from the tower of the Stiftskirche.

Afterwards, from around 6.30 p.m., the choirs will play from the town hall balcony.

The tower blowing from the west tower of Stuttgart's central Stiftskirche is one of the city's oldest traditions. There has been regular tower blowing since 1618, currently on Tuesday and Thursday market days at 8.45 am.
